2007

The Indians have the worst luck with Stanford guys. Cooper has a ton of power, but he`s proven to be utterly unable to hit for any kind of average at the upper levels. Low averages and lots of strikeouts seem to be something he`s doomed to at this point, and he`s pretty much out of chances.

2006

A shoulder injury in his sophomore year at Stanford forced Cooper to spend his final two college seasons at DH. He`s since gotten back up to speed in the outfield thanks to an excellent work ethic and good speed for a corner outfielder (though the latter hasn`t manifested itself on the bases). He hasn`t been too much the blue chipper since A-ball, but he has shown increasing power and an inability to hit his fellow lefties. Not a lot of teams scout for reverse platoon players, though.
