Javier Baez was once the crown jewel of the Cubs farm system. But after a 2014 debut exposed his major swing-and-miss issues and the emergence of Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, and Addison Russell, he almost got lost in the mix of elite, young talent that's filling up Wrigley Field on a regular basis of late. But in 2015, after overcoming tragedy and injury, Baez was able to make the adjustments asked of him and the Cubs and their fans began to see glimpses of the what could be if Baez's immense skill set translated into on-field success.
