Welcome back to the DFA podcast! Hosts Bryan Grosnick (Baseball Prospectus) and R.J. From trades and signings to callups and disabled list stints, DFA is here to provide analysis and commentary on all things baseball.

On the 27th episode of the DFA podcast, Bryan and R.J. are back to review an August 31st to remember. With two big trades, the Tigers changed their team and the complexion of the AL West. First, they dealt Justin Upton to the Angels, as the Halos strive to catch a last-minute playoff spot. Then, they dealt one of the team's all-time greats, in Justin Verlander, to the AL favorite Houston Astros. Of course, there were plenty of other important deals, as the Angels, Astros, Cubs, and Mariners made last-minute moves to shore up their playoff runs. As usual, we cover it all.
