I went last year, outstanding stuff. I highly recommend attending the event. The speakers are informative, interesting, and accessible for discussion during breaks. It's well worth the money and it all goes to the Jimmy Fund.

True or false ... if I went I'd be the only gal to attend?

False, plenty of women attended last year but the crowd was mostly men.

Cool .... I might go if the hotel rate isn't absurd.

You also have a bit of flexibility with where you look for a hotel. The science center is a few blocks from Kenmore Square so you can take catch the T right there. That'll free you up to find hotels near the green line.
