Joe Hamrahi (@JHamrahi), Jason Parks (@ProfessorParks), and Chris Rodriguez (@Chrisrod13) will all be in San Diego for tonight's Perfect Game All-American Classic -- an all-star game showcasing some of the top draft-eligible amateur baseball talent in the US and Canada). After a fair amount of draft-related coverage already this summer, I'll be kicking back and watching like many of you -- on MLB Network, starting at 8pm Eastern -- and chatting on Twitter (@NickJFaleris). If you aren't up on the top draft eligibles for 2014, here's a note sheet covering each of tonight's player participants, and even some space for you to take your own notes at home while you watch along.

The Worst One-Team Players

Most players who've spent long careers with one team are stars. These guys weren't.

At the end of June, Ruben Amaro said he hoped Chase Utley would be a “Phillie for life,” an outcome he made much more likely by extending Utley earlier this week. Utley is exactly the type of player who tends to have a lengthy career spent entirely with one team: an MVP-level performer in his prime who’ll retire with a strong case for Cooperstown. Consider some of the other recent one-team talents: the Yankee quartet of Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, and Derek Jeter; Jeff Bagwell, Chipper Jones, and Todd Helton. David Wright, Joe Mauer, and Yadier Molina (among others) might join that group.
