Welcome to the presentation of the 5th annual Internet Baseball Awards,
as voted on by the denizens of the Usenet rec.sport.baseball newsgroups
and other cyberspace baseball fans.
Our efforts to more widely publicize the vote this year lead to a
record number of ballots this year, with 120 distinguished respondents
taking the time to vote. The great majority of voters this year took
the time to fill out complete or nearly-complete ballots.
