Pitch Type Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report
Fastball 40 86-89 89 Inconsistent mild arm-side run, doesn't always finish pitch; arm speed does not lend to projection, flashed ability to fill up the zone, consistent misses up and glove-side throughout outing
Slurve 40 77 78 Shape wandered with release point, showed 10/4 and 11/5 variants; slurvy breaking ball, flashed occasional depth, frequently hung in zone, lacks consistent finish at present
Changeup 30 81 81 Inconsistent arm speed, mild fade, lacks feel for the pitch; minimal projection
Overall

Robichaux was drafted out of Louisiana-Lafayette as a polished college starter with three pitches. His frame is extremely slender and does not lead to much additional physical projection. The fastball lacks growth potential, with below-average velocity and limited feel for commanding it. The breaking ball is slurvy and lacks average rotation with an inconsistent release point. It is tough to envision anything more than an organizational arm here without drastic changes to the delivery.
