As fervent patriots one and all, we the BP people, in order to form a more tranquil collection of baseball commentators, have decided to knock off for the Independence Day holiday on Monday. You will see the blog side of our home page continue to be updated, and we will respond to breathtakingly important breaking news (Derek Jeter ascending to a higher plane, say), but otherwise we're going to be doing what you're doing, which, I hope, is enjoying a hot dog at the game in the company of friends and family. We will be back on Tuesday with our usual full slate of articles and opinions.
