- Cubs manager Dale Sveum said Saturday that RP Pedro Strop would be "one of the higher candidates" to close if Kevin Gregg is traded.
- Diamondbacks SP Tyler Skaggs will be recalled to start on Monday against the Cubs.
- Cubs manager Dale Sveum indicated after RP Carlos Villanueva struggled Saturday that his rotation spot could be in jeopardy.
