- Dodgers manager Don Mattingly clarified that RP Brian Wilson (elbow) will work in a setup role in front of closer Kenley Jansen once he returns from the disabled list.
- Reds OF Ryan Ludwick (shoulder) is expected to return from the disabled list on Monday.
- Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Friday that OF Matt Kemp (ankle) is roughly 10-14 days away from returning to the lineup.
- Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks (hamstring) will need surgery on his injured left hamstring, and will miss the remainder of the 2013 season.
- SP Ross Detwiler (back) is reportedly "way ahead of schedule" in his recovery from a herniated disc in his lower back, and there's a chance that he could rejoin the Nationals before the end of the season.

- Astros OF J.D. Martinez (wrist) plans to play winter ball over the offseason in an effort to make up for the time he's lost due to injury this season.
- O's manager Buck Showalter indicated Friday that SP Jason Hammel (forearm) won't return from the disabled list when first eligible.

- Mets' skipper Terry Collins indicated Friday that he has not committed to RP LaTroy Hawkins as his closer while Bobby Parnell is sidelined.
