- After meeting with doctor's on Friday, there is still no clear timetable for OF Jason Heyward's (jaw) return to the Braves.
- Mets RP Scott Rice will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a sports hernia.
- The Cardinals have yet to provide a timetable for 1B Allen Craig's (foot) return, but General Manager John Mozeliak said Friday that he'd be "happy" if Craig returned for the postseason.
- 1B Yonder Alonso (hand) has been slow to regain full strength in his injured right hand, and there remains no clear timetable for a potential return to the Padres lineup.
- Nationals RP Christian Garcia (arm, hamstring, shoulder) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Harrisburg on Friday.
- Brewers OF Khris Davis (wrist) is being considered day-to-day after an MRI on his injured left wrist came back negative on Saturday.
- Marlins OF Giancarlo Stanton left in the eighth inning of Saturday's game with a sore right foot and ankle.
- Nationals OF Bryce Harper is flying back to Washington, D.C. for tests on his hip.
- Giants C Buster Posey (finger) took batting practice on Saturday for the first time since sustaining a fractured right ring finger.
- The results of Red Sox OF Jacoby Ellsbury's MRI revealed inflammation in his navicular bone, and he's expected to head to Denver for further testing.
- Yankees RP Shawn Kelley (triceps) indicated that he felt better after his morning bullpen session on Saturday, and should be available out of the Yankees bullpen on Sunday.
- Yankees RP David Robertson (shoulder) said the he felt better on Saturday, but will still rest for the next 3-4 days before attempting to throw again.
- Angels 3B Chris Nelson (hamstring) was able to run on a treadmill on Friday, and still has his sights set on returning before the end of the season.
- OF Robbie Grossman (oblique) missed his third consecutive game on Friday, and remains without a timetable for his return to the Astros lineup.
- Orioles DH Steve Pearce (wrist) will receive an injection in his injured left wrist in an attempt to help it heal.
- Major League Baseball is expected to begin the hearing of Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez's appeal of his 211-game suspension on September 30, one day after the regular season concludes.
- Rangers SP Matt Harrison will undergo surgery on Monday to alleviate the thoracic outlet syndrome in his right shoulder.
- The CT scan taken Saturday on Yankees SS Derek Jeter's surgically-repaired left ankle turned up negative.
- Blue Jays OF Melky Cabrera had a benign tumor removed last Friday from his lower back — near the spinal cord.
- Royals 2B Chris Getz (concussion) has been cleared for action.
- Angels 3B Luis Jimenez left Saturday's game against the Rangers with a right thumb contusion.
- Blue Jays OF Moises Sierra left Saturday's game against the Twins with lower back tightness.
- 2B Howie Kendrick (knee) is improving but a return for next weekend's series against the Astros is a "best-case scenario," according to Angels manager Mike Scioscia.
- Twins C Joe Mauer (concussion) was able to again take batting practice on the field before Saturday's game.
- Rays RP Jesse Crain (shoulder) threw a successful bullpen session on Saturday.
- Angels OF Peter Bourjos won't hit for the rest of this season due to lingering discomfort in his right wrist.

- RP Tyler Thornburg will start for the Brewers when they take on the Cardinals in St. Louis on Wednesday.
- The Phillies have demoted SP Ethan Martin to the bullpen for the remainder of the season.
American League:
- With a perfect inning in Friday's victory over the Yankees, Red Sox RP Koji Uehara has now retired each of the last 27 hitters that he's faced.
- The Blue Jays will utilize Monday's off-day to skip SP Todd Redmond's turn in the rotation.
