I think Machado coming back from *two* season ending knee injuries would make for the best narrative. I'm surprised neither of you guys picked him.

I think Joey Votto is in the conversation. This is the first time he has put a WAR below 5.5 up since 2009. I think he was a popular MVP pick coming into the season until injuries have cost him most of the season and arguably a playoff spot for the Reds.
