The Detroit Tigers are currently seeking a Director, Baseball Data Infrastructure. This role will be responsible for leading all internal data and infrastructure initiatives within Baseball Operations. This position will report to the Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Baseball Operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the data team and data infrastructure initiatives within Baseball Operations.
2. Manage the consumption, storage, and maintenance of all baseball data.
3. Make strategic decisions on data acquisition, storage technologies, policies and procedures, and quality assurance.

Full-Stack Software Engineer, Baseball Operations – Detroit Tigers (Multiple)
The Detroit Tigers are currently seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer. This role will be responsible for development and maintenance of software projects within Baseball Operations. This position will report to the Director of Baseball Systems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform development and maintenance on internal software products.

Biomechanist, Performance Science – Detroit Tigers
The Detroit Tigers are currently seeking a full-time Biomechanist in the Performance Science Department. This role will assist with the delivery of performance science solutions within Baseball Operations. The biomechanist will be responsible for translating biomechanical data into applied, actionable outcomes to be used by staffs to optimize performance. This role will work closely Baseball Analytics, Player Development, Strength and Conditioning, and Sports Medicine.
1. Collect, analyze, and report on data from various sources, including in-game biomechanical data.
2. Maintain data quality and integrity for all biomechanical data.
3. Collaborate with coaching staffs and external consultants to design and develop metrics and reports aimed at maximizing player performance.
4. Work closely with the Director, Performance Science to develop and disseminate information from performance science initiatives.
5. Assist with data management, organization, and integration into the organization’s athlete management system.
6. Assist with implementation and maintenance of existing performance science initiatives across the organization, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
7. Assist with the design, development, testing and support of new performance science initiatives.
8. Effectively collaborate and communicate with player development, coaching, sports medicine, strength and conditioning and front office staff.
9. Review research and technology updates relevant to baseball performance.
10. Perform exploratory performance science research projects and analysis as directed.

1. A graduate level degree or 3+ years of experience in biomechanics or performance science is required.
2. Demonstrated experience with the following technologies preferred: Force plates, IMUs, motion capture, GPS tracking.

4. Research or applied experience in professional sport strongly preferred.

The Coordinator, Performance Science will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Performance Science technologies. This role will work closely with Baseball Analytics, Baseball Performance, Player Development and Coaching Staffs in order to optimize technology usage, understanding and feedback.
1. Responsible for Hawkeye and TrackMan day-to-day operations management, including the staffing and oversight of Operators.
1. The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of general baseball concepts; prior playing experience preferred.
2. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Degree or coursework in sport science, kinesiology, biomechanics, motor learning, mathematics, statistics, or related field is desired.
3. Demonstrated experience with performance science technologies and data collection processes preferred. Examples include but are not limited to: Hawk-Eye, TrackMan, Rapsodo, Blast Motion, force plates, and markered or markerless motion capture.
