Hitter of the Day: Will Craig, 1B, Pirates (AFL – Surprise): 3-4, HR, BB
First baseman need to hit and hit and hit in order to stick around in the MLB for an extended period of time. Craig can hit and he’s historically shown good patience at the plate, but his power didn’t show in games. In 2018 that trend reversed a bit as he was noticeably more aggressive and hit 20 home runs in AA, 14 more than his former pro career high. If he can continue to tap into his power while re-finding that plate approach then the Pirates might have something.
